Save SHSH Blobs Directly from Your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch with iSHSHit

iSHSHit is a new Cydia utility that allows you to save SHSH blobs directly from your iphone, iPod touch or iPad itself, without the need to use a desktop application such as TinyUmbrella.
This new Cydia tweak is pretty simple to use. Basically, you just make sure that the information you want saved are correct and press save. It should prompt you by downloading the SHSHs. What iSHSHit basically does next is that is opens up to a new mail page sending the attachments to any e-mail account you want.
Technically, once you press save, the SHSH blobs are already saved, but you can also send them via email to another inbox for more permanent keeping, cool, eh?

iSHSHit is a free Cydia tweak and you need a jailbroken device to install this app so you can follow our guide posted here to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 or use Limera1n for iOS 4.1 jailbreak. I really recommend this app to save your SHSH blobs since is convenient, fast, and easy! I'm sure saving SHSH blos won't consume too much time out of your day. All it takes is 3 seconds! Who knows, maybe if your device's firmware corrupts, you can restore to the same firmware and keep your jailbreak. This is a must have for any jailbreaker.

Graviboard Released ! Give your Springboard Icons Gravity Style !

In our last post, we told you that GraviBoard will bring Gravity to your iOS device, and here we go. Ever wanted to let your apps float on your springboard? Now you can with the new release of Graviboard. Graviboard is a Cydia tweak that allows your apps to float in different sets of gravity. The preset ones are Earth, Moon, and Zero Gravity. Graviboard also comes with a custom gravity so you can set the gravity to your liking.
This tweak is for users who are looking for a little bit more fun out of their springboard. To use Graviboard, just go to settings and change the toggles on target="_blank"and off. You can even set a toggle via activator.
Graviboard for now is a pretty simple jailbreak tweak. There aren't that many features yet, but I'm sure it will expand and continue to update for more features. Some of the cons of Graviboard is that you cannot keep the apps with no gravity on when you launch apps. This is also limited because you cannot apply Graviboard to folders and scroll to other pages.
To enjoy this tweak, you need a jailbroken iOS device, you can use our guide posted here to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 or use Limera1n for iOS 4.1 jailbreak. Graviboard is available in Cydia for $2.99 via BigBoss repository, believe me, it's awesome!

Gravity Comes to iPhone and iPad with GraviBoard [VIDEO]

That's awesome but it's not released yet. GraviBoard is a brand new Tweak in the works right now by conradev that will be available in Cydia soon, once activated it will make the icons lose gravity ! The developer has no word on release date yet and they says that it is still a little buggy and is getting worked on. Below is a video of it in action.

This tweak will be really awesome and I will be one of the first users who get this tweak. If you really had a jailbroken iOS device, this would be such an awesome prank! More updates as they come. Stay tuned ! [via 9to5mac]

UPDATE 1: The tweak is now available in Cydia and can be purchased for $2.99 from Cydia Store. Check our review for this awesome app here.

Viber for iPhone Brings FREE Unlimited Phone Calls to Rival Skype's App

Skype developers should worry starting from now as it has new competition on the iPhone platform thanks to Viber, a new VoIP app that allows you to make unlimited free calls to other iPhone users over Wifi and 3G connections. The app is totally free, runs in the background without draining your battery, doesn’t have any ads and won’t charge you anything to make calls.
Everyone who have an iPhone should go ahead and install this app right now. When you install Viber on your iPhone, the app syncs your device’s contact list and shows you which of your friends are also using Viber so you can make free calls to them from your iPhone, regardless of the model you use, no user registration required (not as Skype!).

Viber uses Apple’s push notifications to receive calls even when closed, by clicking “Answer” on the resulting alert opens the app and connects the call.

Here's other good news TechCrunch reporting for Android users, the company is currently working on developing a similar app for Android users and aims to release it in the first quarter of 2011. Viber will also introduce free text messaging between its users the same as HeyWire.

What're you waiting for? Just head over app store (iTunes link), install it then tell your friends to do the same. I doubt I’ll be using Skype for iPhone again. Anyone else will go with me?

If you are a Mac user (and have more than one computer) you will undoubtedly be familiar with Screen Sharing between machines. In a nutshell that is what Splashtop Remote Desktop does. Except in this case it is for connecting your PC to your iPad so you can use your iPad as a remote viewer and controller for your PC.
Splashtop Remote Desktop for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch works with Windows 7, Vista and XP. Once that second app is installed on the PC you should be able to connect from your iPad to the PC.

You are basically viewing, and interacting with an image of your PC’s screen so you can practically do anything on your iPad now that you can on your PC. This includes word-processing, Web viewing, playing games, videos and even (shock horror!) using Flash.

Here's a quick video shows it in action:

The app is available in the App Store for $6.99, and as I said, you have to download the desktop client for your Windows or Mac OS X. All can be found on the official site here.

How to Watch Free Live TV Shows on iPad, Right Now

You can get free and live broadcast on your iPad right now by using a new internet service called FilmOn. This service lets you watch HD quality television shows from channels from NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, CNN and more from your iPad. Oh, the service also includes a channel for those people who like adult stuff.

It’s incredibly easy, and it don't require app, instead you can head on FilmOn.com via Safari browser from your iPad so you can browse all the channels provided by the service. Moreover, it allows you to pause the show, schedule i, and more things you can do with this service.
The TV networks, of course, will work very hard to shoot down this service and they have already filed lawsuits against FilmOn. The founder Alki David believes he is legally operating within existing US copyright law and plans to spend heavily to win his legal battle with the networks. So FilmOn might survive ! Apple is Removing Skyfire Web Browser from the App Store

It was just a couple of minutes when we reported about the release of Skyfire web browser for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The app works as a Flash player for iOS devices by converting Flash content into HTML5 and sending to your device to work as HTML5 content.
Unluckily, Apple started to remove the app for some reason we don't know! as the reports on Twitter form users live in other countries as Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Italy, and Greece can't get Skyfire web browser for iPhone as it's been removed. In case Apple remove Skyfire from all countries, it may get on Cydia for the same price or something cheaper. Stay tuned as we'll cover the news about that one!

UPDATE 1:
According to some Twitter followers, Skyfire is no more available in Australia, Norway, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany, Portuguese, Spain, Norwegian.

UPDATE 2: Skyfire is not available in all countries world wide. Developers of Skyfire web browser explains what happened 'SOLD OUT':
Skyfire for iPhone has been received with unbelievable enthusiasm. Despite our best attempts and predictions, the demand far exceeds our initial projections.

The user experience was performing well for the first few hours, but as the surge continued, the peak load on our servers and bandwidth caused the video experience to degrade.

Thus we are effectively ‘sold out’ and will temporarily not accept new purchases from the App Store. We are working really hard to increase capacity and will be accepting new purchases from the App Store as soon as we can support it.
[Thanks everyone who sent this in]

VLC for iOS May be Pulled from the App Store

VLC, the popular meida player that's developed by French 3rd party studio Applidium, has landed on the iPad in September and then on the iPhone last week to play almost any video. But as noticed by iLounge, it may be pulled from the app store very soon for some reasons explained below.
Apple has been sent a formal notification of copyright infringement regarding the way VLC for iOS is distributed in the App Store. Rémi Denis-Courmont, one of the primary developers of VLC, explained that Apple’s iTunes Terms and Conditions don't allow users to install both free and paid apps on more than 5 devices. This goes against the original GNU license VLC's code is based on.
In any case, while the rules for distribution of open-source or "free" (as in speech) software are extremely relaxed, they do exist and have to be abode by. VLC and open-source software in general would not have reached their current quality and success if it had not been for their license. Therefore, blatant license violation cannot be tolerated at any rate. Concerned users are advised to look for application on more open mobile platforms for the time being.
So, in case you don't have the app already on your iPhone, better get it now as it still available here for free.
