Apple Store App Updated to Bring Multitasking and Retina Display Support

Apple has just updated the official App Store app which allows customers to access the Apple Online Store from their iPhone and iPod touch to purchase any product at any time with easy access. The update brings retina display support for iPhone 4 and 4th-generation iPod touch as well as iOS 4 Multitasking feature (fast switch). Check the full change log below.

Steve Jobs: "Trust the iPhone", Multitasking Don't waste battery life!

The newly released iOS 4 came with a new Feature called "Multitasking", this feature Enable iPhone and iPod Touch users to Change Apps in Background by Double Hit on Home Button. People think that Multitasking waste the battery life of iPhone but Steve Jobs has replied an Italian user telling him "Trust the iPhone"

As you see in the screenshot above, Alain was asking Jobs about a way to close all Apps in Background instead of closing every App individually to save battery life. Steve jobs replied that he don't need to close background Apps to save battery life!

How to: Jailbreak iOS 4 Final Version on iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G Using Redsn0w 0.9.5b5-3

iPhone Dev Team has just updated Redsn0w to bring support for the Final Version of iOS 4 for iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G. This update works on both Mac and Windows and make you able to Enable Multitasking which is disabled by Apple. Follow the Steps below to Jailbreak iOS 4 Final Release on iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G.

Redsn0w beta has been updated to hacktivate iOS 4.0 for iPhone3G (in addition to jailbreaking the iPhone3G and iPod Touch 2G).
For now, the redsn0w beta release supports only the iPhone3G and iPod Touch 2G at today’s 4.0. It’s still a beta, so you’ll need to let Cydia reorganize, reload, and update after using redsn0w.
Steps:
Step 1: Download iOS 4 Final Version according to your Device from Here.
Step 2: Update your Device Firmware using the latest iOS 4 you have Downloaded via iTunes 9.2
Step 3: Download Redsn0w (Link at the end of Page) and Extract it, Then Open Redsn0w 0.9.5b5-3 and Browse it to the Original Firmware

Step 4: Select "Install Cydia" and choose the other features you need Including "Enable Multitasking" and "Enable homescreen wallpaper"

Step 5: Now turn off you Device and plug it to your Computer using USB Then Click Next

Step 6: In this Stage you will have to put your Device in DFU Mode by Following the instructions written in this stage
Step 7: Now, Let Redsn0w do the rest, Then your iPhone or iPod Touch will be restarted and it will be Jailbroken on iOS 4.

Now You will be Able to Unlock 05.13.04, 05.12.01 to 04.26.08 Basebands on iOS 4 Using Ultrasn0w 0.93 which was released today, Step by Step Guide posted here.

Multitasking:
Yes, the most popular and important feature that Added to iOS 4 is Multitasking, This feature really hurts Android OS. Apple added fast switch between apps but this feature is coming to iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3G only [This is the bad thing], Also I already collected a list of Apps that are compatible with iOS 4 and can do the Multitasking [Full List Posted Here]


Home Screen:
The main Background in iOS 4 Home Screen is water drops with gray color. Also If you updated to iOS 4 you will find Clock, Compass, Calculator, and Voice Memos have been moved to a Utilities folder by default which was found in the beta 4 release of iPhone OS 4

Virtual Keyboard:
Instead of touching the globe key to cycle through languages on the virtual keyboard, you can now hold it down to get a popup showing all enabled international keyboards languages.

Wi-Fi:
iPhone and iPod touch can Stay connected to Wi-Fi when Sleep mode in the new iOS 4, this means that apps that require an active Wi-Fi connection can just keep working.

Folders:
Drag-and-Drop simplicity feature added, Now you can use an easy way to move between folders, Drag and drop between them is simple and funny, Also you will Get faster access to your favorites and browse and manage up to 2160 apps.

Mail:
See messages from all your accounts in a unified inbox, organize messages by threads, open attachments in third-party apps. Also Apple has added (finally) a character counter so you can know the number of characters you have written.

Digital Zoom:
It's 5x digital zoom so you can get closer to your subjects by zooming. When you tap the screen a sliders appears, by touch the right side will zoom and the left side will decrease zoom.


Spell Checking:
Spell check which was added to iPad 3.2 has been added to iOS 4 as well, it's avaliable for all your apps by a built-in spell checker system same to the iPad's one.

iBooks:
Apple has already announced that they are bringing iBooks to iPhone, they will add new features as notes, bookmarks, and highlights will automatically be synced across all the iOS devices logged into your iTunes accounts.
